Dan Croteau

Chief Executive Officer

Dan Croteau has over 30 years of leadership experience with the last 20 years in executive leadership roles in the Medical Device Industry.  Dan was most recently President and CEO of Vention Medical, a leading medical device contract manufacturer and product development company.  During Dan’s tenure at Vention Medical, sales more than tripled through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth.  Prior to Vention Medical, Dan was President of FlexMedical, the medical device and equipment division of Flextronics,  responsible for more than $1 Billion annually in sales with manufacturing plants and development centers in Mexico, North America, Europe and Asia.  Dan also held roles at Accellent (now part of Integer) as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Orthopedic Division  and in a previous role was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.   Earlier in his career Dan spent several years with GE and the management consulting firm Booz & Company.  Dan has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont.   Dan also serves as a director for UFP Technologies, a publicly traded company that specializes in packaging and materials and Inventus Power, a privately held company that develops and manufactures rechargeable battery/power systems.

Victor Diaz

President, Chief Operating Officer

As Surgical Specialties Corporation's Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management, Mr. Diaz has over 20 years experience in the healthcare, medical device, and medical instrument industries. Prior to joining Surgical Specialties Corporation, Mr. Diaz was Vice President, Global Operations, at Teleflex Medical, the medical device and instrument manufacturing division of Teleflex Corporation. During his career at Teleflex, Mr. Diaz led a staff of 4,200 and was responsible for the global manufacturing, procurement, distribution, and complete supply chain with 25 plants and 23 distribution centers in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the United States. Previously, Mr. Diaz served as Vice President of Manufacturing at both Kendall Healthcare, a subsidiary of Tyco Healthcare, and Tyco Healthcare Respiratory. He has a great deal of experience dealing with FDA compliant ISO and EN certified plants across Europe, Asia, and North America.

Mr. Diaz received a BA in Chemistry from the Universidad Autonoma de Baja, California.

Dan Sutherby

Chief Financial Officer

Dan Sutherby, Chief Financial Officer, has experience with both public and private health sciences, medical device and diagnostic companies.  Most recently, Dan spent six years as Chief Financial Officer at IQuum, a point of care molecular diagnostics company.  Previously, Dan was Chief Financial Officer at Abiomed, a publicly held medical device company serving the cardiology and heart surgery markets. Prior to Abiomed, Dan spent eight years at PerkinElmer, a global S&P 500 company, in a variety of progressive corporate and operational financial management roles including Corporate Director of Accounting and Finance, Director of Finance for the company’s Life and Analytical Sciences $1B business unit, and Corporate Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications.  Earlier in his career, Dan held senior financial management positions at various publicly held manufacturing and financial services firms.  Dan is a Certified Public Accountant and has both a Master of Science Degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy from Bentley University.

Joseph Siletto

Chief Business Officer

Joe is leading Sales, Marketing and Business Development for the Company in addition to being a Managing Director for VIVO Capital LLC, the Health Care Investment Firm that led the syndicate group that purchased Surgical Specialties in early 2017.  At Vivo, Mr. Siletto is a managing director and focuses on cross-border transactions between Chinese and U.S. or European companies.
Joe has nearly 20 years of experience in life sciences transactions and investments as a private company CEO, investment banker and a private investor. Prior to joining Vivo Capital, Joe was the U.S. CEO of a China-focused global medical device company, where he orchestrated five acquisitions and both FDA and CE mark approval of the company’s products. Earlier in his career, Joe was an investment banker involved in over 50 transactions totaling over $1 billion for biopharmaceutical and medical device companies while working for Cowen & Co. and Banc of America Securities.
Joe studied at the Beijing Language Institute and graduated with a B.A. from Duke University and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
